i've just bought this stock for udon soup from the super mart! i was so excited!
went home to try it.. it wasn't what i was expecting.. so
disappointing.
i'll try shoyu with water next i guess.
btw.. seems like there's only me & you talking in here? hee..
soy sauce base? like how? do you mean the usual shoyu which we use for sushi?
& mix that with water?
i've tried udon with miso paste just the other day.. somehow.. the taste came
out kinda sour.. i wonder why! and i've got to add a lot of the paste before it
tasted edible.. before.. it was kinda bland..
anyone knows what's the soup stock for udon? i want to get the flavour of the
soup right... it taste the same be it for wakame udon or tsukimi udon.. so i
believed there must be a certain thing that go into making the soup of
udon..

curry is a bit hard to make because they have special curry blocks that you
boil. I can look into it a bit though...
Bento making is the best thing ever! I did it over the summer when we didnt have
school lunch. It was a ton of fun to make. Of course, rice is a major part of
it. People also often use meatballs, tonkatsu, karage (fried chicken), veggies
(green beans, carrots, potatoes), spaghetti, and sushi. Sometimes noodles
substitute the rice. Use whatever you like, just have many small portions.
ya.. i say the curry blocks being sold @ the super marts...
do you have pics of your bento? so far.. i've only managed doing onigiri..
because... i've got to wake up so early in the morning to make them i become
lazy.. & my bento box is really small.. can only contain to onigiri... &
i have no idea what to match.. because u've got to cook them in small portions..
but i sooooo desperately wanna make one delicious nice bento!!!
